This horse, a 5 year old stallion, was brought to me because of his lack of respect and ground handling difficulties as well as an unwillingness to stand still for mounting.
This horse was calling the shots and used to it. In over 50 years of horses I have never come across one who displayed the aggressive determination this one had. In this video I experience a few moments of self doubt and have to deal with my own nervousness as well as force myself to trust the techniques that have served me so well for so long.
In the end, he respects, stands for mounting and his owner has enough new found confidence to load him for her first time ever in a slant load trailer by herself.
